Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall

Dinner at Wild Ginger, 5:45pm*

Performance at 7:30pm

Join us for dinner and a celebration of jazz and Shakespeare at the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra's performance of Duke Ellington's Such Sweet Thunder, part of the "Seattle Celebrates Shakespeare Festival."  We'll meet beforehand for dinner at Wild Ginger before heading over to Benaroya for the performance.
From the Seattle Repertory Jazz Group:
A lover of Shakespeare, Duke Ellington composed the “Such Sweet Thunder Suite” as his tribute to the Bard. SRJO teams up with local thespians to present this special suite of works. Each movement—including Lady Mac, Sonnet for Sister Kate, and The Star-Crossed Lovers—evokes favorite Shakespearean characters or quotes. Guest thespians present selections from the plays and sonnets that inspired Ellington to create the musical work.
*Note: Event price is applied to the performance admission, subsidized by the Club.  Dinner at Wild Ginger is optional and not included with the event ticket!
If not joining for dinner, please meet the group at Benaroya Hall Will Call at 7:10pm
