Seattle is facing a humanitarian crisis; over 2,800 people are living without shelter.

In 2016, Mayor Edward Murray declared a state of emergency and hired George Scarola to serve as the City’s director of homelessness to address the tremendous challenges confronting people without permanent homes.

The City has implemented initiatives and offered new resources, led by Pathways Home, the plan to create a more integrated homelessness services system based on individualized services and measurable goals. More than $100 million has been budgeted to address homelessness over two years.

Learn about the challenges of implementing the City’s plan to transform the service delivery system for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. It’s an opportunity to discuss policies, share your ideas and make connections to achieve permanent housing solutions.
